The announcement brings with it some of the first details concerning the actual story of the game, casting the player as one of the mysterious fighter pilots known only as ‘Valkyries.’ Apparently, as the name of the group implies, it consists of pilots who have been saved from death and allowed to fly another day - provided they do it under the leadership of Ran. The vast majority of eastern diamondbacks—a large, venomous rattlesnake found throughout the state—have brown, tan or yellow skin with brown diamonds along their back that have a cream outline, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). But Pierson Hill, a FWC biologist, came across a rare mutant diamondback, that has no diamond pattern on its back. Eastern diamondbacks grow to an average of 3-6 feet in length and can weigh up to 10 pounds, making them the longest and heaviest venomous snakes in North America, according to the FWC....

The Montreal queen, 35, has been called out for dressing in blackface to play actress Amber Riley’s character, Mercedes Jones, from Glee during an old performance. Blackface refers to the racist practice of a non-Black person wearing dark makeup, often to mock the features of Black people. Baga first addressed the controversy in 2020, but on Sunday, she posted another lengthy note to her social media, explaining she deeply regretted her choice....

At some point, however, the show went from making fun of product placement to simply just placing products. In All Stars 6 Episode 9 (streaming now on Paramount+), this reaches its nadir, with the whole episode just a less good version of a previous challenges (the Season 9 princess and sidekicks challenge) made to flog a cartoon on WOW Presents Plus. Who knew WOW Presents Plus had content that was not just foreign versions of Drag Race?...

But even if BioWare has made its name on compelling story of late, there’s more to Inquisition than scripted cut-scenes. Plot-driven campaign aside, the developers seem most excited about the opportunity to emphasize player choices and consequences. Whether they can deliver on handling both open-world gameplay and scripted story remains to be seen, but the living, breathing world continues to be emphasized in released assets. After BioWare decided to feature a massive dragon in their first full unveiling, players have been left to wonder if the boss creatures would actually be featured more prominently in the game....

Despite some rather lukewarm reviews (our own included), Capcom’s recently released RPG Dragon’s Dogma did pretty well at retail, shipping over 1 million copies worldwide! Seeing opportunity in the strong sales, Capcom now plans to turn the game into an established franchise. Dragon’s Dogma is the 55th title from Capcom to ship one million copies, making it quite the success. Capcom attributes some of the commercial achievement to the integration of the pawn system, which allows players to borrow character created NPCs from one another - though early access to the Resident Evil 6 demo probably had something to with it....

While Gearbox President Randy Pitchford may be able to get everyone nervous by making an announcement of any kind after delaying DNF in March, this is unquestionably good news. The demo will only be available to First Access Club members, being those who have pre-ordered DNF from participating retailers, or those who purchased Borderlands Game of the Year Edition. If you invested in either you should be receiving an email from the publisher, confirming what system you want to play the demo on already....

Those itching to try out two of 2012’s most anticipated shooters may just get their chance. Ubisoft and CCP have revealed details on the betas for their respective shooters, Far Cry 3 and Dust 514. PS3 owners can register for the DUST 514 beta through the game’s website. However, registration does not necessarily mean everyone will be accepted. The closed beta begins next week for those who attended EVE Fanfest in addition to select EVE Online players....

With regard to a potential acquisition by Microsoft, Uncy tweeted on Saturday: “There was the same rumor floating around the internet one year ago, and the situation didn’t change. Techland is an independent studio, and it was not acquired by another publisher.” This denial arrives following recent statements made by Xbox content creator Jeremy “ACG” Penter on the latest episode of the Defining Duke podcast. As part of a larger discussion focused on potential Xbox-exclusive game releases in 2021, Penter said: “I heard one rumor, but it doesn’t make sense because it’s not in their current stable....

However, Dynasty fans should not hold out hope for the new Alexis to turn up in Atlanta any time soon. In an October interview with TVLine, showrunner Josh Reims revealed that they have not cast a new actress to play the role yet. Reims said: “Obviously she’s Alexis and this is Dynasty, so I would imagine she may show up at one point.” However, the fact that she has not been cast suggest it may be some time until the character is back on screen....

If the Dynasty Warriors series isn’t your cup of tea, then the new details on Dynasty Warriors 7 likely won’t be of interest, but if you’ve found yourself hooked on Omega Force’s previous outings, then you’re sure to notice the various changes made this time around. Aside from bringing back the series’ former ‘charge’ system allowing players to end combo chains with more powerful attacks, DW7 will be giving players the ability to carry two different weapons at a time....

There is no “wrong” way to build your character’s stats, but a Jack-of-all-trades will not fare too well against the more formidable enemies that are stationed later in the game. Instead, you are best off concentrating on a particular skill, whether that’s intelligence, faith, dexterity or strength. While most players will discover a preference eventually, it can take a bit of experimentation before you make up your mind. For instance, you might initially think that you want to specialize as a mage only to later find out that your play style is better suited to melee combat (or vice versa)....

Just announced on Twitter, by Bethesda’s own Pete Hines, the Creation Kit is slated to release this Tuesday barring any unforeseen circumstances. It’s not like we haven’t seen potential release windows for the kit before, but never a firm day and date leading us to believe it’s finally happening. Packaged in with the Creation Kit will be a wide variety of mod tools including a new scene editor that will allow modders to create their own NPC interactions....
