In a post on Facebook on Thursday, the CHP said that on the previous evening, it assisted the Placer County Sheriff’s Office with an “extremely aggressive bear” in Truckee, California. The bear entered the home through a window, and when law enforcement responded, it “charged at Officers multiple times until they were able to get it back outside,” the CHP said. The guests locked themselves in rooms due to the animal’s “aggressive nature” once the omnivore came inside....

Bandai Namco has shown bits and pieces of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot at various events, and they just released a new trailer for Gamescom 2019. This new Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot gameplay trailer focuses more of Kakarot’s son, Gohan, as the two Saiyans train and fight together against the forces of evil. Based on what’s been highlighted for the game thus far, it’s easy to see why 2K Games fell in love with the concept prior to purchasing the rights to Evolve from the now defunct THQ, and now the company has revealed the pre-order bonuses that’ll be given to fans who commit to purchasing the new game ahead of its release later this year. The incentives themselves are fairly standard for any game, but the inclusion of a future downloadable monster for Evolve is something that’ll save consumers a few bucks....

And today, the studio unveiled one character sure to chart a new course for the Dragon Age series. The revelation comes courtesy of Inquisition’s writer David Gaider, in a post on BioWare’s official blog. The character in question is Dorian, a man featured briefly during the company’s E3 demo as a sarcastic, but goodhearted addition to the Inquisitor’s forces. Like all Dragon Age party members, Dorian has no shortage of his own demons, driving him from his homeland to add his magical powers to those of the Inquisitor, in pursuit of… well, Gaider is keeping the character’s backstory under wraps for now....

Thankfully, that’s not the case with Dragon Quest Builders 2. While there’s quite a bit of hand-holding in the first hour or so, a smooth progression of bite-size tasks allows you to get a handle on the construction, crafting, exploration and combat mechanics quickly. Coming to the game as someone who loved DQXI but hadn’t played the first Builders, I was suprised by the way in which story and exploration took center stage, and pleased to find the RPG elements go beyond the series’ beloved Akira Toriyama aesthetics....
